People of Wal-Mart (includes employees)

I purchased a saucer chair today in the La Habra store.  I got 10% off on the product and was escorted to a checkout stand by an employee.  While waiting in line, there was an employee making a purchase ahead of me.  She and the employee working the register were having a long conversation, which continued past the transaction was complete, even with 3 customers behind her in line, including me.  The conversation was inappropriate, and had something to do with the employees husband, and how she now "owns" his credit card.  When it was my turn to check out, the cashier asked me how to calculate 10% off.  I thought this was highly unprofessional, especially for an international company like Wal-Mart. Anyways, I pulled out my phone and told her how much off it would be, even though that is the simplest math that a person can do.  The cashier then could not figure out how to subtract the aforementioned amount from the total, so I did it for her on the phone and she did a price override instead of taking 10% off.  Is this how they like the business represented on the front lines?
